The empty reflection of who you are.

An extension of yourself that you can only see

Whenever light shines on you, it will always be there

If you fear it, don’t run away from the light

You’ll end up alone in the dark

If you stay too long, time will not hesitate

The light will be too far

Until you become your own shadow,

The empty reflection of who you are.

Life is meaningful in our own way

The little things, the things that bring us joy

How could anyone throw it away?

They say life is beautiful, but what is life?

Life is cruel, yet kind

Life is depressing, yet hopeful

Life is difficult, but not impossible

Life is all that you are, a miracle.

If you ask,

“What is the meaning of life?”

Ask yourself,

“What does life mean to me?”

Stranded in an endless sea

Fortuned to be living

Doomed to be dead

Devouring thoughts

Left to no thoughts at all

Countless ticking

No clock on the wall

Free me from this prison

This lonely abyss

Trust in the unseeable

Foresee the unthinkable

If you think, then you can

If you can, don’t think

Control the controllable

Remain calm in the end

I sit and ponder my life as a whole

Although I know it has happened

Time still seems a blur

How wrong I was

All that time spent thinking

Became my biggest mistake

When the real value in life

Was all the time laid waste
